Mr. Bodin has been a Director since 1984 and President since 2008 of Carlsen & Co. S.A., overseeing the firm’s investment activities in stocks, bonds, and alternative investments, including commodities, hedge funds, private placements and venture capital. In addition, he has been a Director and President of Carlsen & Co. Inc., a U.S. affiliate dedicated to domestic investing, including real property and natural resources, since its founding in 1988. A retired Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Elijah Watts Sells Award winner, Mr. Bodin was a senior tax accountant with Haskins & Sells—now Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited—in Boston, Massachusetts. A retired attorney-at-law, Mr. Bodin was admitted to the bars of the State of New York, the State of Florida, the United States Tax Court, various federal districts, and the United States Supreme Court. He practiced law with Willkie Farr & Gallagher in New York City, prior to moving to Caracas, Venezuela, in 1984 to join the Carlsen Group (founded in 1952), initially as a Director and Executive Vice- President of Carlsen & Co. Sucrs., C.A., which until its cessation in 2006, was the oldest member-broker of the Caracas Stock Exchange.

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he graduated from Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences (A.B. Economics magna cum laude), Columbia University School of Law (J.D.), The University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Management (M.B.A. summa cum laude), and Bentley University Graduate School of Business (M.S. Taxation) and was elected to the following honor societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Sigma Nu, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Beta Alpha Psi. Mr. Bodin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation (CFA) and is a member of the CFA Institute as well as CFA Miami. He has been a member of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast as well as the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce (VenAmCham), having founded the latter’s Capital Markets Committee in 1986. For many years he served on the Board of Governors of Georgetown University Alumni Association and was Chairman of its Alumni Admissions Program in Venezuela, as well as a Director and Treasurer of the U.S. Navy League in Caracas. Active in community affairs, Mr. Bodin served many years as a Director and then President of The EmeraldBay at Key Colony Condominium Association and, later, as a Director and then President of The Key Colony Home Owners’ Association, in Key Biscayne, Florida, where he lives. He is a longtime member of the Metropolitan Club in New York City and the Royal Automobile Club in Melbourne, Australia.
